Financial Economics  --  Economics  (ECON) 136 [4 units]
Course Format: Three hours of lecture and zero to one hours of discussion per week.
Prerequisites: 100A or 101A, and one semester of statistics.
Credit option: Students will receive no credit for 136 after taking Undergraduate Business Administration 103. Students intending on majoring in Business should not take 136.
Description: Analysis of financial assets and institutions. The course emphasizes modern asset valuation theory and the role of financial intermediaries, and their regulation, in the financial system.
