Introduction to Artificial Intelligence  --  Computer Science (Engineering) (COMPSCI) 188 [4 units]
Course Format: Three hours of lecture and one hour of discussion per week.
Prerequisites: 61A or 61B and consent of instructor; 70 or Mathematics 55.
Description: Basic ideas and techniques underlying the design of intelligent computer systems. Topics include heuristic search, problem solving, game playing, knowledge representation, logical inference, planning, reasoning under uncertainty, expert systems, learning, perception, language understanding.
